Tout your hounds' achievements, and discover what others were doing in 2011 by taking out an advertisement and placing an order for the BHCA 2011 Yearbook.

The BHCA Yearbook is the publication where activities in the show ring, in the field, in performance events and as therapy dogs are celebrated. You can also highlight a litter whelped last year, and commemorate a beloved hound who passed away. And BHCA Junior Members can publicize their achievements for free!

The deadline for Yearbook ads and orders is July 1, 2012.

The American Kennel Club has released the point schedule for conformation shows effective May 16, 2012. In addition, AKC has realigned the regional divisions, so some states may see significant changes to the numbers needed to make a major.

If you've never been to a Basset Hound specialty show, your Basset Hound experience is not complete. Make 2012 the year you visit a specialty show to see our hounds perform in the ring to the fullest, and to join in the camaraderie of other Basset Hound aficionados.

Whether you live in the East, the South, the Midwest or the West, local BHCA-affiliated Basset Hound clubs are preparing specialty shows where hounds can strut their stuff, not only in conformation, but at some events in obedience and rally, as well. And junior handlers will also have the opportunity to shine.
